What’s the reach test? It’s simple: I keep reaching for this one over all the others I own. It’s so fast that you can walk up, press the button, take a big, satisfying hit, and be on your way. On-demand devices are known for their convenience, but the Bowle 2 is about as fast as they come, which is why I find myself constantly reaching for it.

The flavour that the Bowle 2 produces is absolutely top-tier. With five different temperature settings, I find the best flavour at temp 2, but even at higher temperatures, it’s still impressive. The pure convection heating system delivers incredibly strong effects and massive hits. This is a connoisseur’s dream device—perfect for purists who want to experience flavour without any compromise. In fact, I don’t even want to run this device through water, which I normally do with other devices to smooth out the experience. There’s no need to modify or augment the vapour here—it’s that smooth and flavourful.

3. Simple Loading and Unloading

Loading and unloading the Bowle 2 is quick and hassle-free, thanks to the small ceramic pots it uses. You get multiple pots with the device, as well as a plastic shredder that makes it easy to load four pots in seconds. You can pre-load your ceramic pots just like dosing capsules, or simply scoop the flower directly from the grinder—either method works. Unloading is just as easy. When the pot is warm, you can tap it on a debowler, and it’ll be 99% clean. You can even blow through it, and that works well too. No matter how full or partially loaded the pot is, the Bowle 2 performs perfectly.

4. Long-Lasting Battery Life

Battery life is a huge strength of the Tafee Bowle 2. It's a decent-sized portable device, and it seems like most of the base is dedicated to the battery. You can get up to 25 full sessions from a single charge—that's bowls, not hits! It also charges quickly with a USB-C port, and the performance remains consistent no matter how full or empty the battery is. Most devices struggle as the battery depletes, but the Bowle 2 keeps powering through, giving you a near-identical experience every time. It’s always ready when I need it, which makes it even easier to reach for.

5. Ease of Use

One of the best things about the Bowle 2 is how easy it is to use. There’s almost nothing to clean except the stems and ceramic pots, which can be soaked in isopropyl alcohol. If it’s already loaded, unloading and reloading takes seconds, and if it’s empty, it’s even faster to prep for the next session. The included ceramic pots make preloading easy, and there’s no learning curve at all. Whether you hit it hard or soft, you’ll get great results every time. The two-button interface and simple LED display make navigating through the five temperature settings a breeze. All these factors combine to make the Bowle 2 incredibly convenient.

Not Perfect, But Close

While the Tafee Bowle 2 excels in many areas, there are a few things that might not appeal to everyone. First, there’s the cup system. Personally, I don’t really get it, and I don’t use it. Luckily, it's optional, so you don’t have to either. Second, this isn’t a pocket-sized portable—it’s bigger and bulkier, so it's not ideal for on-the-go use. But to be fair, it wasn’t designed for that. Instead, it’s designed to deliver the best portable experience possible, not the smallest. Lastly, the price is on the higher side, but the quality and consistency you get from a device made in Canada make it worth it. It’s not a mass-produced item from overseas, and that level of craftsmanship shows.

If you're looking for strong effects, rich flavour, ease of use, and long battery life, the Tafee Bowle 2 is an exceptional choice. While it has a few quirks, like the cup system and its size, the benefits far outweigh any downsides. Whether you use it with or without the cup, you’ll enjoy a device that’s easy to use, packed with features, and built to deliver a top-notch experience every time.
