Today, I want to introduce you to The Pinch Hitter by Vapvana. Let’s dive into the unboxing and see exactly what you get with this compact and efficient ball vape.

What's Inside the Box?

When you open up The Pinch Hitter, here’s what you’ll find:

- A long grounded power cable for added safety.

- The PID controller, with a simple three-button interface. This is where you’ll plug the power cable on one side and the engine of the ball vape on the other.

- A sturdy stand with thick rubber pads on the bottom to keep it stable.

- Extra screens and a brush for easy maintenance.

- An allen wrench and extra screws for removing the coil guard if needed.

- A small scoop with a tamp tool at the bottom to help press down your load.

- Extra O-rings and an additional screen.

- The Pinch Hitter Bowl, designed for smaller loads, with a capacity of around 0.15g.

The Bowl: Small Yet Mighty

The Pinch Hitter Bowl is much smaller than other options, like the Screwball. Despite its 0.15g capacity, you don’t need to fill it to the max. I’ve had incredibly efficient hits with less than 0.1g. One feature I love is that this hybrid bowl, made of titanium with a wooden handle and glass joint, comes with both 14mm and 18mm connections, allowing compatibility with various female pieces.

The Engine and Performance

The engine of The Pinch Hitter includes a branded coil guard that’s pre-installed inside the titanium housing, along with Ruby terp diamonds. While not a typical ball vape using round terp pearls, the diamonds look cool and perform exceptionally well. The unit is heat-cleaned at the factory, meaning it’s been tested and burned off, so you can plug it in and start vaping immediately.

Setting It Up

Setting up The Pinch Hitter is easy. Plug the power cable into the PID controller and the wall, then connect the engine to the PID. The engine will get warm quickly, and within about 5 minutes, you’re ready to go.

To turn it on, hold the central button, and it’ll start heating up. With single-degree temperature control, I recommend keeping it between 500°F and 600°F. Personally, I find 570°F works perfectly. You can toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit, but I prefer Fahrenheit for more precise control.

For added safety, The Pinch Hitter features an auto shut-off function, which you can activate by pressing the centre button five times. It’s a great feature to prevent accidental overheating.

Complete Kit with No Extras Needed

One of the best things about The Pinch Hitter is that it comes with everything you need, except a water piece and your favourite flower. You’ll find the pre-installed coil guard and a functional handle, so there’s no need to hunt down additional accessories to make it work. It’s all right there.

A Fresh Hit Every Time

The smaller bowl design means you’ll empty it after every hit, guaranteeing fresh flower and maximum vapour quality with every session. While the bowl capacity is 0.15g, you can still get thick, milky hits with this amount. If you prefer, you can load a bit more, but 0.15g is more than adequate for a complete hit.

Loading and Using The Pinch Hitter

Loading The Pinch Hitter is simple. Use the provided scoop to load finely ground flower into the bowl, then lightly tamp it down for even vaporization. After loading, you can give the edges a quick brush to remove any excess flower.

In my experience, The Pinch Hitter delivers impressive, evenly vaporized hits, even with a small amount of flower.

The Big League Bubbler and Preheating

For those wanting an even bigger hit, you can attach an 18mm joint like the Big League Bubbler from Vapvana. Preheating the bowl allows for even faster and more powerful hits. While preheating isn’t always necessary, it’s ideal for very moist flower or if you want to achieve the absolute biggest hits possible.

The Pinch Hitter is a well-rounded kit that doesn’t require additional accessories, apart from a water piece and quality flower. Its small bowl design is a game changer, offering fresh hits with maximum flavour and effect every time. I’ve found myself using The Pinch Hitter over other ball vapes because it consistently delivers a perfect balance of power and efficiency.
